Topic: live streaming site

Hey,

I used to run a site with live streaming of computer games but had to shut it down as I lost my programmer. The site was called RTSBroadcast.com.
I would like to relaunch a similar site - so I need a quote for a full site.
I would also like if possible a way for videos on demand to be uploaded to the site.
I am not sure if forums are a must.

thanks

How many streaming channels are you thinking about?

Ill get back with you about this to see if im able to do Live Streaming with my host. Altho im sure they will accept it.... I just want to follow all the rules here

Ill get back with you  big_smile

Re: live streaming site

My main goal is to have two channels from which I will have the ability to streame live. Each Will be streamed using livestream and thus there is a need for these to be embedded on the site. As livestream is being used i dont think there will be a load on the server as the viewer technically will be viewing it on livestream server (I Think Thats how it works)
the vods will, however need to be uploaded to the site.

Re: live streaming site

I spoken with Tech Support they said QUOTE:

As long as the live streaming is done on another server you could probably do it.  However, it would require a dedicated IP address.  As for the videos if they are not his own creation, then the answer would be no, because that would violate our Terms of Service not to mention copyright law.  Also, if they are very large files and there is a lot of traffic it could cause performance issues.  Otherwise, you could give it a shot and see how it goes.

My question to you is, what kind of content will you be streaming?

if it effects the Terms of Service with my host, Im going to have to find another host who will allow this...

And also, I dont think we need a dedicated IP address....

I also did some research and it seems easy to do...

Again if this is a conflit with my main host dont worry.... I just need to host your site with another host.

Re: live streaming site

The games broadcast are starcraft 2 and age of empires 3
there is no c opyright violation as all games are recorded and freely distributed.
The host for livestream is livestream.com pr xfire.com

Im looking for a clean and Classic design. I will try and see if I Can get a hold of my original layout. As far as updates for the site I confess to be clueless and leave that for you to determine

Re: live streaming site

I checked to see if the domain " rtsbroadcast.com " was available and it seems you own it still...

Registrant: Christoffer Jensen

I see the domain is parked at the moment

I also see in this clan website that it was announced -->>> http://www.aoe3clan.com/index.php?file= … amp;sid=22

I found this link aswell ---> http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/555288

What I would like to do is try a few demo websites for you to see, and if you like it and still want to continue with it ill only charge you $50 a year!  cool

$50/y, will get you everything our SILVER plan offers with no ADs

As our first client, this will be the set price for you for life

Cool?
